	Success story - The packaging experts from Borgloon

Together with Bizerba, Veiling Borgloon is automating its internal packaging facilities - Borgloon, a friendly town of around 10,000 inhabitants in the Belgian province of Limburg, is home to Veiling Borgloon. The company exports fruit from the region, including apples, pears and a variety of different berries, and now employs more than 100 people. The company's packaging processes are as varied as the products themselves: berries are so delicate that employees have to lay them in trays by hand and check the weight with scales. As this is very labour-intensive, it makes automating the packaging process for less delicate products even more important. Read More
	Bizerba launches partner activities in Southeast Asia

New partnership agreement with Food Processing Technology from Thailand – Bizerba, the solutions provider from Balingen, and the Thai company Food Processing Technology (FPT) have signed a partnership agreement for the region of Southeast Asia. "After managing to gain four retail key accounts in China last year, we are particularly thrilled about this new partnership in the areas of industry and food processing. Our new partner FPT is one of the leading players in the region of Southeast Asia; our first appearance together at Food Pack Asia in Bangkok was already a complete success," explains Andreas Kraut, chairman of the board of directors at Bizerba. 	Bizerba new service partner of Datalogic

Eugene, Oregon, USA, Datalogic came out with a combination unit for the checkout consisting of scanner and scale. The cashier scans a product, the cash register transmits the basic price to the scale. Up to here, everything is fairly simple.
